Pedro Ibarra Sr.

Mi Tierra, started by Pedro Ibarra Sr. and Eddy "El Tejano" Gonzales, originating in the small town of Garden City, Kansas.  Mi Tierra was know for their live performances and classic style. With a wide variety of music styles, they were loved by many locals.  Their repertoire of songs mainly were influenced by the Orchestra, Tejano and Oldies genres.
Know for his professionalism, Pedro Ibarra Sr. on vocals and guitar was a humble leader of the band with a passion for music.  Equally to back him were the talented musicians playing along side him.  Ernie Campos a strong vocalist and percussionist added a wonderful element to the group.  Robert Munoz on trumpet and vocals added the third vocal giving the band their harmonic sounds.  Paul and Clifford Ortiz, provided the brass sound that is so distinct in orchestra music and  is still cherished to this day.  Martin Encinias on bass was like the bands glue holding them all together. Last but not least, Eddy "El Tejano" Gonzales was the heart of the band.  Providing the beat of the drums to conduct the band with his effortless talent.
This recording was recorded live over 25 years ago at the local VFW.  Long before the inventions of digital and social media, it has taken this long to become available to the public.  Left in its original state, it is now available to purchase. Like a fine wine, this original recording has sat quietly dormant awaiting it age to enjoy.
I Tex, am honored to release this live recording to the world. As a third generation musician, I dedicate this release to y grandfather Pedro Ibarra Sr, and my father Eddy "El Tejano"  Gonzales.  I dedicate it also to all the band members for giving us this music as a memory that will always live on in our hears forever.  I know Pedro Ibarra Sr. my grandfather is smiling down from heaven knowing his music lives on.  I Love You grandpa.  Thank you for the love of music Dad.  To everyone who purchases and supports our passion, I thank each and everyone of you.
